As long as Shannon can remember she has been around health care. Her mother is a registered nurse. She has been a home health aide for 2 years and is currently pursuing a nursing career. She loves this profession and will tell you she has grown more patient and more understanding because of it.

Her favorite story is of a gentleman who served in Vietnam and was shot in the leg. "He treats me like a daughter. He always wants to feed me". She adds "I am so comfortable and happy helping others".
